Choco Scotch Clusters

Recipes Ingredients:

6 oz Chocolate Chips, Semisweet
1/4 c Peanut Butter
6 oz Butterscotch Morsels
3 c Cereal, Rice Krispies

Recipe Instructions:

Melt chocolate, butterscotch, and peanut Butter in top of a double boiler, stirring constantly, until well blended. Remove from heat, add Rice Krispies and stir until cereal is thouroughly coated. Drop by tablespoon on wax paper. Cool until firm. VARIATION: For a lighter snack, increase the Rice Krispies to 4 cups.

Banana Fudge Cookies

Recipes Ingredients:

18 1/2 oz Package Chocolate Cake mix
2 tb Water
1/3 c Mashed bananas, ripe
6 oz Semisweet Chocolate pieces
1 Egg

Recipe Instructions:

Combine Cake mix, bananas, egg, and water in a bowl. Beat with electric mixer at medium speed until smooth. Stir in Chocolate pieces. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, on greased Baking sheets. Bake in 350 degree Oven 8 minutes or until done. Remove from Baking sheets; cool on racks. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.

Orange Cookies

Recipes Ingredients:

1 ea Orange; grind rind and all
6 c Flour; sifted
1 c Butter; or other shortening
Frosting:
2 c Sugar
1 ea Orange; grind rind and all
1 c Milk; Sweet or sour
1 tb Butter
1 ts Baking soda
1 lb Sugar; powdered
2 ts Baking powder

Recipe Instructions:

Drop on Cookie sheet, bake in 400 F. oven. When entirely cooled, ice with frosting. Note: Cream Butter or shortening and sugar, combine remaining ingredients. For frosting, combine ingredients, mix till smooth. Source: Mrs. Ernest Clapp, Chatham Grange, Medina County, OH

Mocha Cookies

Recipes Ingredients:

1/2 c Butter
1 ts Baking powder
3/4 c Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 c Packed brown sugar
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1 ea Egg
2 ts Vanilla
1 1/2 c Flour
1 c Finely chopped walnuts
2 tb In. coff. powder No crystals
12 oz Semi-sweet Chocolate chips

Recipe Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven to 350. Cream butter. Add both sugars and beat well. Add Egg and mix well. Add flour, Coffee powder, Baking powder, salt, cinnamon, vanilla, and 1/2 c walnuts. Mix well. Wrap dough in wax paper and chill thouroughly in Refrigerator (at least two hours). 2. Remove dough from refrigerator. Using rounded teaspoonfuls of dough, shape into balls using palms of hands and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased Cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes. 3. Remove Cookie sheet from Oven and working quickly place 3-4 Chocolate chips in the center of each Hot cookie. When Chocolate has softened, Spread over top and sprinkle with balance of walnuts. Honey Oatmeal Chewies - From Crisco

Recipes Ingredients:

1 1/4 c Butter Flavor Crisco
1 ts Baking soda
1 c Granulated sugar
1/2 ts Salt
2/3 c Firmly packed brown sugar
1 c Quick-cooking oats
1/4 c Honey
Not instant or old-fashioned
1 Egg
1 c Flake coconut
1/4 c Milk
1 c Raisins
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 c Walnut pieces broken
2 1/2 c Flour
1/2 c Wheat germ (optional)

Recipe Instructions:

1. Heat Oven to 350øF. 2. Cream Butter Flavor Crisco, granulated sugar, brown,sugar, honey, egg, Milk and vanilla until light and fluffy. 3. Combine flour,Baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture. 4. Stir in oats, coconut,raisins, wheat germ, and walnuts. 5. Drop rounded teaspoonsfuls of dough on ungreased Baking sheet. Bake at 350øF for 11 to 12 minutes for soft cookies, 13 to 14 minutes for crisp cookies. Remove to cooling rack. 6 dozen cookies From the Kitchen of Lois Flack

Filled Cookies

Recipes Ingredients:

2 c Brown sugar; light - packed
Filling:
1/8 ts Salt
1 c Brown sugar; light - packed
1 c Shortening; 1/2 butter/ 1/2
1 c Water
-vegetable) 1
tb Flour
3 ea Eggs
1 c Nuts; chopped
4 c Flour 1
1/2 c Raisins; ground
1 ts Baking soda; level
1 tb Lemon juice
2 ts Vanilla

Recipe Instructions:

Dough: Cream sugar, salt and shortening. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Filling: Mix Sugar and flour. Stir in water slowly. Add nuts and raisins. Cook until slightly thickened. Cool Assembly: Take two rounds of unbaked Cookie dough and put a spoonful of filling in center of one Cookie and put the second on top of the bottom one. Golden Sugar Cookies

Recipes Ingredients:

2 1/2 c Sifted flour
2 c Sugar
1/2 ts Vanilla
1/4 ts Salt
1 ts Baking soda
2 ea Egg yolks
1 ts Lemon flavoring
1 c Butter
1 ts Cream of tartar

Recipe Instructions:

Sift the first 4 ingredients together. Cream Butter and extracts together until Butter is softened. Add Sugar gradually, creaming until fluffy after each addition. Add yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients in 4ths, beating until just blended. Make balls (1 inch), about 2 inches apart on ungreased sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Cheese Cookies

Recipes Ingredients:

1/4 lb Butter
1/2 lb Sharp cheese, grated
1/4 lb Margarine
1/2 ts Salt
2 c Plain flour
2 c Rice Krispies

Recipe Instructions:

Mix thoroughly; form into small balls. Place on greased Cookie sheet, mash flat with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes

Almond Crescents

Recipes Ingredients:

1 c Butter
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Almond extract
1 c Oats, uncooked
3/4 c Powdered Sugar, sifted
1/2 c Almonds, finely chopped
2 c Flour
Powdered Sugar
Recipe Instructions:

Heat Oven to 325 degrees F. Beat Butter and almond extract till fluffy; gradually beat in sugar. Add combined flour and salt; mix well. Stir in oats and almonds. Shape to form crescents. Place on ungreased Cookie sheet. Bake 15-18 minutes or until light golden brown. Sift powdered Sugar over warm crescents.
